The US economy added 243,000 jobs last month, the Bureau of Labor Statistics announced today. Although the unemployment rate stayed fairly constant at 4.8 percent, that’s remarkably lower than February 2005’s jobless rate of 5.4 percent.
Some of the hottest industries include:
- Construction – 41,000 new jobs
- Professional and business services – 39,000 new jobs
- Finance/Insurance – 22,000 new jobs
- Health Care – 18,000 new jobs
